Definitely want to highlight what has been said below about his warm and nurturing nature. He is very respectful and caring and genuinely cares about his patient’s well-being. Robert has been integral in helping me to recover from my bicycle accident. His online appointment system makes it super easy and convenient to schedule appointments; he is available before and after work times and some Saturdays. Since I’ve been seeing him, my neck and back have main significant improvements and my level of pain has dramatically decreased. Originally I began seeing him to treat a back injury but after recovery have maintained consistent sessions for general well being. I really enjoy his demeanor and find our conversations to be very personable and friendly during my visits. What I appreciate most about Rob and how he practices is his focus on being thorough and consistent in my treatments regardless of my frequency of visit. He can quickly and effectively assess points of focus when I come in the door and I always leave feeling better. The location of his practice is convenient with lots of parking, he is always accommodating with schedule changes and the cost of each visit is money well spent.”

Ditto what others say about his personal concern and caring. His approach is holistic, multi-modal and consistent with medical care I have been receiving. His care greatly accelerated my recovery and enabled me to get back to work quickly. (teaching sailing and racing sailboats) His care was efficient (read affordable and cost effective) and I appreciated his candor about treatment – willingness to explain what he was doing and why re: manipulation, e-stim and ultrasound and what the pros and cons of other treatments are. The location is extremely convenient to me and parking is easy and cheap. (I’ve commuted to his office (AND PARKED) from San Francisco in less time than it takes me just park within San Francisco!)”

I also like it that he has set hours I can just drop by, without setting an appointment. He also has special rates for students and artists.”

My mom would have me go and I wasn’t really sure about the benefits at the time. Working with Rob is great; he makes you feel comfortable and important, when he treats you. He is not too woo-woo like I’ve had in the past. He is direct and responsive to specific issues that you have. For example, I have numbness in my feet. He adjusted me and I didn’t have it the next morning!”

Due to 2 traumatic injuries, I require weekly chiropractic adjustments. I had just arrived in town after driving for 5 days from Cleveland, Ohio. I hadn’t thought to make arrangements for chiropractic care in advance and was experiencing so much discomfort, I could barely think straight and was walking with a slight limp.
Dr. Townsend saw me right away. His adjustments were gentle and thorough. He also gave me tips on stretching and muscle strengthening techniques that would help minimize my more chronic aches and pains. Also important to note: his prices are very reasonable.
Within an hour, I was clear-headed and was walking with a smooth stride. Thank you, Dr. Townsend!”

First, I’m very skeptical about chiropractors, (back cracking, becoming addicted to adjustments), but I was in a great deal of pain and was willing to try him. Right away I felt at ease with him was impressed with his knowledge, use of technology, and professionalism. I’ve seen him about 6 times in the first 3 weeks and he’s always taken the the time to answer all my questions and goes beyond my expectations. He even recommended a great acupuncturist!!
